Challenging Part of Work

Hi Fabulous friends!

Right now, I'd like to share about my current job. I'm working for Chinese Oil and Gas Company, the office location is at Sudirman Central Business District (SCBD), Jakarta. My current job is different from my previous job as an Administration/Secretary. Currently, I'm working for Supply Chain Management (SCM) Division, Logistic Department, specifically Asset Management team. As an Asset Management team, my main job is to coordinate with SKK Migas and Governments, mostly from:

1. Ministry of Finance:
a. Direktorat Jenderal Kekayaan Negara, Piutang Negara dan Kekayaan Negara Lain-Lain (DJKN PNKNL)
b. Kantor Pelayanan Kekayaan Negara dan Lelang Jakarta II (KPKNL Jakarta II)
2. Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources 
(Pusat Pengelolaan Barang Milik Negara  Enegi dan Sumber Daya Mineral - PPBMN ESDM)
to conduct physical check or inspection and arrange Auction of State Owned Property.
Also interact with other PSC (Profit Sharing Contractor) which is workers from another Oil and Gas Company for Material/Asset Transfer Agreement which still can be used for their operation.

The advantages to work as a Material Recovery Assistant (Logistic, Asset Management) are:
1. Get opportunities to meet, interact, and maintain good relationships each other with Stakeholders (Especially, Governments and other PSC).
2.  Get chances to go to unique places.



Now, I'd like to share about the advantages number 2, unique places that I've been visited and very memorable for me until now are:
1. Explosives Warehouse, the location is at Jalupang, Subang.

This place is very memorable for me, because of new insight I've got from this place. To enter this place, I have to comply some safety regulations and the place is quite challenging, because:

- We've been trough rubber trees forest (called Hevea Brasilienis) to enter the venue (which is quite far 😂)

- We've to consider the smell of chemicals inside the dark warehouse
- Hot weather, around 34⁰C indoor and 39⁰C outdoor
- The risk of explotion

I've been visited this place 2nd times. Even though this place quite far, I'll be happy if I can come back again.

2. North Business Unit Platforms (Widuri and Lisa Platform), the location is at South East Sumatra, Java Sea.

This experience is very rare for me. Because, this is one of the best experience in my life. I've got a chance to visit the real oil and gas platforms, the location is at North Business Unit, South East Sumatra, Java sea. That was really cool, because it's like a "Deepwater Horizon" movie 💗

North Business Unit Platforms is the furthest, because it takes 3,5 - 4 hours voyage by vessel from Pabelokan Island. There are a lot of risks if we are not ready for this trip, e.g. seasick or vomit. To enter this field, we also have to comply safety requirements as per Company standard. With a good preparation, we've made it great without any obstacles. That's depend on a weather too. Finally, we've arrived safely 😉

I proud of Offshore workers there, because that's a job with high risk especially in HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) aspect and a lot of responsibilities. The hardest part of working there is the location, so far from the other platforms (Central Business Unit or South Business Unit area). They are great people who run oil and gas operation activities. Appreciate with their contribution for oil and gas production. May God bless them and family.
