We all know that 21st of April is a special day, especially for women in our country, Indonesia.
I'd like to share about our beloved mother, Ibu Kartini. This post is dedicated to Ibu Kartini.
Firstly, I'd like to tell about Ibu Kartini in a brief description.
Raden Adjeng Kartini (we usually call her "Ïbu Kartini") was born on 21st of April 1879 at Jepara. She was an inspirational hero for education sector in Indonesia. Nowadays, women can get the chance to study because of her concern and effort (previously, women can't be granted the opportunity to study because of gender inequality). She had a passion in writing and she was a brilliant writer who could impressed local and also Dutch. She was the most influential women at that time, because she could made craftsman started to export Indonesian authentic sculpture to Netherlands.
We might say that she was the pioneer of gender equality in education. She passed away at an early age (25 years old) at Rembang.

Kartini's presence has a big influence, particularly for women to study. I'd like to send my gratitude, especially for gender equality. There was a variety of women's occupation since then. For instance, General Practitioner, Army, Pilot, Engineer, etc.
Ibu Kartini, you might not be here now, but thank you very much for your courage to fight for women's emancipation. We will always remember about your figure forever.
Here is me and my sister's picture. We are wearing "Kebaya" as a characteristic and symbol from Ibu Kartini :)
Happy belated Kartini day!!!
Love,
Fifi
